About ESAC

The Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) administers a financial assurance and accreditation program for the professional employer organization (PEO) industry. ESAC has provided its services since 1995 and its accreditation credentials are sought after and well-respected.

Opportunity

ESAC is seeking a Bookkeeper / Office Manager who demonstrates dependability, professionalism and a strong work ethic and who has initiative to learn and identify opportunities for new skills development and team member assistance. This is a full-time on-site role in Little Rock, AR. Primary functions include:

  • Performing all bookkeeping functions, including AP, AR and GJ entries;
  • Processing invoices and payments for PEO regulatory fees and inputting quarterly/annual PEO wage data;
  • Maintaining financial schedules including asset/depreciation, prepaid expenses and income, deferred payments and director fees;
  • Performing monthly reconciliations of bank and credit accounts and preparing staff expense reports;
  • Assisting with development of monthly and quarterly financials and annual budgets;
  • Providing support for independent CPA’s preparation of annual audit and Forms 990 and 1099s;
  • Managing general office operations, equipment/supplies and daily mail processing;
  • Answering/forwarding incoming calls and administering VOIP services;
  • Maintaining corporate contract details and documents;
  • Maintaining databases and assisting with communications functions;
  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned.

While the above are required functions, opportunities will also be available in operational functions including social media / creative design and PEO compliance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Experience in bookkeeping and financial record management;
  • Knowledge of accounting software;
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and precision;
  • Ability to focus and employ critical thinking;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Communication and customer service skills;
  • Administrative assistance and office administration skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment;
  • Degree or related credentials preferred.
