Responsibilities

The Chaplain will be responsible for the religious and spiritual needs of the patients, families and their visitors, as well as hospital staff members. The Chaplain will respond in a timely manner to all requests for spiritual care and assistance. The Chaplain will assess the religious and spiritual needs of the client, and address or assist in addressing these needs whenever possible. The Chaplain will offer spiritual support and guidance where appropriate. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • In good standing with the ecclesial authority and in good standing with their faith organization.
  • Minimum 2 years in spiritual services environment (Hospital, Nursing Home, Hospice, Military, Parish Chaplaincy)
  • Certification through NACC, APC or other acceptable accrediting organization, or be eligible for certification, with 4 Units of Clinical Pastoral Education completed, preferred or its equivalent. 
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills,
  • Bi-lingual English - Spanish required.
  • Bachelor's degree required with preference given to those with a Master of Divinity, Religious Studies or Pastoral Ministry

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.   A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $68.640.00 to $85,716.80 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
