Job Description

Construction Manager - Wireless Infrastructure

Leading Telecommunications Company | Wisconsin

Transform Rural Connectivity - Build the Future of Wireless Infrastructure

Are you ready to lead the deployment of critical wireless infrastructure that will connect thousands of rural Americans to reliable high-speed connectivity? Join a rapidly growing telecommunications company at a pivotal moment as they transition from regional operator to national wireless infrastructure powerhouse.

The Opportunity

This isn't just another construction management role – it's your chance to be the architect of wireless infrastructure transformation in underserved communities. As Construction Manager, you'll own the end-to-end delivery of nearly 500 sites across Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota, with the mandate to scale operations from well-funded startup mode to national player.

What Makes This Role Exceptional:

🚀 Entrepreneurial Environment - Thrive in a high-growth, builder-focused culture where your ideas directly impact company strategy and execution

📈 Growth Trajectory - Join during expansion into new markets with all major carriers, backed by a $300-400M parent company

💼 Leadership Impact - Direct reporting to VP of Operations and CTO with immediate influence on company direction

🏗️ Build Your Legacy - Shape and scale an emerging organization from the ground up with autonomy to build your team and implement best practices

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Construction:

• Perform site visits and validate site conditions

• Coordinate utility walks and permit applications

• Ensure NTP packages are properly prepared for subcontractors

Construction Management:

• Oversee multiple daily site visits across civil, electrical, and A&L subcontractors

• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and stop unsafe operations

• Validate construction against current plans and specifications

• Manage real-time schedule updates and change orders

Post-Construction:

• Assemble close-out packages for up to 40 sites per month

• Manage brownfield and greenfield project completions

• Coordinate deficiency resolutions and third-party inspections

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• 5-7+ years of wireless construction management expertise

• OSHA 30 certification (required)

• Deep knowledge of wireless infrastructure and construction methods

• Experience with both brownfield and greenfield projects

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts

• Track record delivering complex programs in dynamic environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four-year degree in civil engineering or equivalent

• Professional certifications (CCM, AC, or CPC)

• Proficiency in SiteTracker and construction management software

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Leadership Qualities:

• Builder mentality - creates solutions rather than waiting for perfect conditions

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Self-starter with strong organizational abilities

• Thrives in ambiguity and creates structure from chaos

Comprehensive Package

✅ Competitive Compensation - Base salary scaled to experience plus performance bonus

✅ Full Benefits - Health/dental/vision, 401(k) company contribution, generous PTO

✅ Work Flexibility - Company vehicles for field work, remote setup support

✅ Career Growth - Clear path for team-building responsibilities as organization scales

Location Requirements: Wisconsin residency required with frequent travel throughout the state

Why This Matters

This role offers the rare combination of startup energy, established backing, clear revenue visibility, and the opportunity to build something truly meaningful. You'll join a select team committed to bridging the digital divide while building a category-defining company in the wireless infrastructure space.
