Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced and certified Site Health and Safety Officer to join our client's team in Newport, Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety management, with a focus on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific health and safety plans
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 30 and EM385 standards
  • Write and review accident prevention plans and hazard analysis plans
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure a safe working environment
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure they are following safety protocols and using the correct equipment
  • Manage the sign-in and sign-out process for all site personnel/subcontractors
  • Lead daily site and safety briefings for all workers
  • Investigate and report on any incidents or near-misses
  • Provide training and support to site personnel on health and safety practices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in construction
  • OSHA 30 and EM385 certifications are required
  • Proven experience in writing accident prevention plans and hazard analysis plans
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Compensation:

$25/hr to $35/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
