Title : Cyber Security Analyst

Location: Hybrid onsite in Hamden, CT

Employment Type: Contract -to-hire

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 annually +Bonus

Position Overview:

A direct client of ours is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to lead incident response efforts, manage vulnerability assessments, and enhance security awareness training. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in Proofpoint and other security tools. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and continuously improve cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead incident response efforts to identify, investigate, and mitigate security threats.
• Manage vulnerability assessments and oversee remediation efforts to strengthen security posture.
• Conduct security awareness training, including new hire orientation and quarterly phishing tests using Proofpoint.
• Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to implement security best practices.
• Monitor, analyze, and improve cybersecurity policies to ensure ongoing protection against evolving threats.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specializing in incident response, vulnerability management, and security education.
• Hands-on experience with Proofpoint and other security tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent communication skills to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually DOE
• Bonus Potential: 3-5% based on individual and company performance.
