DevOps Engineer

Knoxville, TN — Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)

Full-Time | Permanent Role

• Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Knoxville office.
• This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have at least 2 years of professional DevOps Engineer experience to be considered for this position.

Key Technologies

• Cloud : AWS & Azure (PaaS, serverless-first, cloud-native)
• IaC : Terraform
• CI/CD : GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
• Observability : New Relic, logging pipelines, custom metrics
• Containers : Docker, Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
• Support and evolve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Optimize cloud resource orchestration across AWS and Azure
• Enhance observability with New Relic and custom monitoring dashboards
• Embed CI/CD, monitoring, and security into development workflows
• Ensure availability and performance in a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture
• Automate tasks to streamline development, testing, and deployment
• Promote best practices for containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

Requirements

• 3+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles
• Proven experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Experience in cloud-native environments (AWS and/or Azure)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and practices (e.g., New Relic, CloudWatch, distributed tracing)
• Understanding of secure DevOps practices, IAM, and security integration
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on developer productivity
• Passionate about automation and continuous delivery
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and driven to deliver operational excellence
