We are currently assisting our client with a EHS Manager search near Nashville, TN. This position will be responsible for site environmental, health, and safety strategy. This position will be responsible for policy management, regulatory compliance, and incident response. The EHS Manager will work with the plant leadership to build a strong safety culture and create an environment conducive to maintaining the employees’ physical well-being.

Responsibilities:

• The primary person responsible for maintaining optimal environmental, health, and safety conditions for the sites
• Audit and analyze the site’s environmental activities to be consistent with the industry’s best practices and government compliance
• Implement new and manage current plant health, safety, and environmental programs
• Work and build relationships with company emplyees and train safety program procedures and best practices
• Determine best practices regarding safe operational processes and train staff to implement safety changes
• Work and build relationships with multiple government compliance agencies and divisions
• Lead injury and incident inquiries and evaluations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field
• 3+ years of safety, health, and environmental engineering and/or leadership
• Experience interacting with and training plant labor regarding environmental and safety practices
• Prior union experience preferred
