Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Oakland Lawyers Group PLLC, an established law firm specializing in business litigation, intellectual property, real estate, and employment law, is currently seeking a full-time Litigation Attorney who can hit the ground running and become a part of our amazing, growing firm.

Job Description

• Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to diverse business units across multiple companies
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships, founded on trust and transparency, with our internal and external partners to address complex legal and business issues in an accurate, clear and thorough manner
• Case evaluation and preparation
• Law and motion (both drafting our moving papers and responding to motions)
• Monitor and allocate resources accordingly (inside and outside counsel)
• Discovery
• Prepare and attend hearings, deposition, and arbitrations
• Correspondence and Demand Letters
• Contact with opposing counsel and clients
• Conduct negotiations for legal disputes

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• State Bar of Michigan license to practice law
• Minimum of 5 years’ litigation experience
• Excellent oral and written communication required
• Strong research skills
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
