Microbiologist I (Contract)

We are seeking a Microbiologist I to join the Microbiology department within a Research & Development setting. This role provides technical expertise in pharmaceutical microbiology and supports quality control and assurance for manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine environmental and systems monitoring of manufacturing and laboratory areas.
• Perform laboratory experimentation in compliance with approved SOPs.
• Follow policies and assist in developing new procedures and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and calculations.
• Assist in data interpretation, documentation, and preparation for presentations.
• Stay current with technical knowledge relevant to assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or other life science (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical microbiology.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and data graphics programs.
• Ability to qualify and maintain Class 100 gowning status.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently.
• Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs accurately and utilize scientific information resources effectively.
