Police Records Specialist Lead Location Commerce City, CO : General Purpose We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Police Records Specialist Lead to join our team. The Police Records Specialist Lead performs advanced technical and administrative police support services including the general operation of the Records Unit, assigning and reviewing work of Police Service Technicians and Records Specialists, training Police Service Technicians and Records Specialists, and providing assistance to department members through their expertise in the processing and retrieving of reports, police records and computer entries.

High School diploma or equivalent; at least two years of experience as a Police Records Specialist, or at least three years of equivalent continuous experience in police records management and CCIC/NCIC for a law enforcement agency. A Bachelor's Degree in a criminal justice, business or administrative related field is preferred; bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred; experience in shift work is preferred; and, advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite or 365 is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Must qualify for FBI certification to access the Criminal Justice Information System; qualification includes no felony conviction of any kind. Must be able to be certified as a Notary Public.
