Project Manager – Ready for the jump from a Project Engineer Role - Water Treatment Construction
My client is one of the most respected water treatment construction firms in the Sothern California area. They are on everyone’s short list when they consider water treatment construction projects. The staff is proud to work on projects that help clients improve water quality in our communities.
My client is growing rapidly, and because of that growth they are seeking a top-notch Junior Project Manager. Our ideal candidate would have a background as a project engineer or junior project manager working on civil – water – environmental construction projects. This ideal member of our team will currently be in the Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Bernardino geographic area – or you’re open to relocating for an outstanding opportunity.
What’s the difference between working in a very large firm, and a more entrepreneurial environment like my client's firm? In a more entrepreneurial firm, you get to be a big fish quickly. You’re trusted with more responsibility sooner, you’re thrown into more complex projects, and you get to see a larger scope of the project than some small segment. They are nimble, move quickly, and make decisions without multiple layers of bureaucracy. You’ll not find another project management role as a step-up in your career that offers you more impact, opportunity, and growth.
Our ideal candidate is regarded as a great team player, frequently going above and beyond the call of duty to support their fellow teammates. You’re the type of person who loves to learn, shows initiative, proactivity, and anticipates client needs. You’re like a sponge – your ability to soak up new information, responsibilities, and projects is unlimited. You want to be in a culture that is fun, focused on people (learning opportunities, celebration of accomplishments, and a deep desire to help everyone realize their potential), and provides a great work life balance.
Here's what some of our staff say about working at my client:
“What I like most is the family-like environment – everybody cares deeply about each other.”
“After 12 years, I’m still learning and growing. You get lots of responsibility and you get to see projects from beginning to end.”
Could you imagine being able to make these statements about your experience as a key member of the team as a project manager? If you want to become known as a subject matter expert in waste water and water treatment construction project management - and in a role that is focused on learning, having a ton of responsibility, and really enjoying your co-workers and clients, then you should raise your hand to learn a little more about this opportunity.
