BayCare is seeking a Senior Reimbursement Analyst to join our Finance team in Clearwater, FL. This role plays a key part in ensuring BayCare’s financial strength through accurate government reimbursement reporting, cost analysis, and compliance with regulatory changes.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and file annual Medicare Cost Reports (via HFS or equivalent software) and work directly with MACs during audits.
• Monitor and interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE/CHAMPUS reimbursement regulations, ensuring BayCare stays compliant and financially optimized.
• Analyze financial impacts of government regulatory changes, CMS proposals, and state-level updates.
• Support specialized reimbursement areas such as Medicare bad debts, DSH, Graduate Medical Education (GME), IRIS, Allied Health reimbursement, Wage Index, and Occupational Mix surveys.
• Lead or participate in finance-driven projects within Revenue Management, helping strengthen financial decision-making across the system.
• Partner with leaders and colleagues across Finance to provide data, insight, and reporting that supports BayCare’s mission.

What We’re Looking For:

• Required: At least 5 years of progressive healthcare reimbursement/finance experience, including 2+ years of Medicare Cost Report preparation and filing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or unrelated degree with strong professional-level reimbursement/finance experience).
• Strong knowledge of CMS reimbursement methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with cost reporting software and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
