What you would be doing:

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing and facility operations to manage the purchasing process of equipment, materials, and technical services. This individual will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and facility teams to understand selected vendor capabilities with technical requirements. The role requires a hands-on professional who can manage the end-to-end purchasing process ensuring timely delivery, cost effectiveness, and specification compliance.

What we require:

  • Partner with engineers and factory operations teams to understand procurement requirements and technical specifications.
  • Work with pre-selected suppliers provided by engineering and operations teams to conduct comparative analysis on cost, quality, lead time, and delivery risk.
  • Execute the purchase of production equipment, spare parts, industrial tools, and facility-related materials and services, ensuring smooth and compliant processes.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and participate in audits in collaboration with engineering and operational stakeholders.
  • Independently lead price negotiations, manage payment terms, and secure delivery schedules to meet project and production timelines.
  • Monitor and track order status, proactively resolve any delivery or quality issues, and provide detailed updates to internal customers.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and support budget tracking using the company’s MRO and relevant systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5- 8 years of experience in technical buying or procurement within a manufacturing, industrial, or facility operations environment.
  • Deep understanding of factory equipment, industrial tools, facility systems, and construction-related services.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and purchasing documentation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical language and collaborate effectively with both internal engineering teams and external suppliers.
  • Bilingual required – English (fluently)/Mandarin (intermediate)

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments or factory expansion projects.
  • Familiarity with supplier auditing processes and quality assurance standards.
  • Working knowledge of logistics, import/export requirements, or local construction compliance is a plus.
