Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Senior Technical Designer to support a leading apparel brand’s Technical Design team. Apply now for consideration!

Contract: W2, Contract

Duration: 3-Month Project

Location: 100% Onsite, Manhattan, NY

Pay Rate: 38-43/Hour Based on Experience

Schedule: 40 hours/week, 4–5 days onsite

Brief Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer with a strong background in intimates (Bras, Sports Bras, Swim) and apparel to join a fast-paced, collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality, well-fitting products.

Responsibilities:

Execute the full technical design process from development through final fit
Own fittings and write detailed, clear, and actionable fit comments
Analyze and evaluate garments to ensure accurate fit, comfort, and quality standards
Create and maintain technical specs and tech packs in Centric/Flex PLM
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, and factories to ensure design intent and production feasibility
Make pattern adjustments and troubleshoot construction issues as needed

Requirements:

5-7+ years of experience in Technical Design, specifically in intimates (Bras, Sports Bras, Swim)
Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern correction, and grading
Proficiency in Centric PLM, Flex PLM, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel
Experience independently owning fittings and working directly with factories/vendors
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience
Able to work onsite 4–5 days/week for fittings and team collaboration
