Title: Drive Unit Test Technician
Location: Newark, CA
Duration: 6-month contract with the possibility for extensions and possibility for conversion
Pay Rate: $30/hr - $35/hr
Targeted Start Date: ASAP
Required Skills & Experience
•Minimum of 2 years of automotive or related technician experience. •Experience troubleshooting and executing test profiles. •Moderate experience with shop tools including but not limited to: torque wrenches, drivers, power tools, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc. •Understanding of electrical hazards, including precautionary measures around high voltage equipment and rotating machinery. •Detail oriented personality with exceptional documentation and reporting skills. •Strong Microsoft office and computer software literacy •Basic experience working with standard industrial communication interfaces i.e. CANbus, Ethernet, Modbus •Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and ability to work potential overtime
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
•Experience in dyno-specific testing interfaces. •Experience with electric vehicle drive systems. •Experience with electric vehicles and/or automotive products. •Experience with Atlassian Jira, National Instruments hardware & related software strongly desired.
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Test Technician to sit onsite at an Automotive client in Newark, CA. This person will physically install and setup test articles on test beds, execute both standard and lower risk non-standard tests. They will utilize flash basic software versions to test articles, provide organized and detailed feedback to test requestors and update test tickets.
