About the Role:

We’re looking for a reliable, experienced Warehouse Manager / Logistics Lead to take ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations and logistics for our growing company. This role is key to ensuring all orders are shipped accurately, on time, and at the most cost-effective rates — while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse that operates according to company SOPs.

You’ll lead a team of warehouse associates, spend 75% of your day on the warehouse floor actively managing staff, ensuring standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed, and promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork. The remaining 25% in the office handling logistics, shipment planning, vendor coordination, and administrative tasks. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & SOP Compliance

  • Lead by example — work alongside the team to set the tone for productivity, quality, and accountability
  • Conduct daily meetings to communicate priorities, assign tasks, and ensure alignment on goals
  • Train, coach, and monitor staff to ensure strict adherence to warehouse SOPs, safety procedures, and customer service standards
  • Implement and maintain training programs to improve team performance and consistency
  • Monitor labor compliance, ensuring employees take breaks and lunches per legal and company requirements

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee all warehouse functions: receiving, put-away, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Ensure orders are picked and shipped accurately and on time
  • Perform weekly cycle counts for key SKUs and maintain inventory accuracy in WMS
  • Conduct random quality control checks on inbound and outbound orders
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Logistics & Cost Management

  • Manage and schedule inbound and outbound shipments
  • Bid out freight, assign carriers, and select the most cost-effective and reliable shipping options
  • Send ASN’s, create loads, upload signed BOLs, and coordinate with customer requirements
  • Audit shipping invoices for accuracy and identify areas for cost savings
  • Work closely with the purchasing and sales teams to coordinate priorities and meet delivery expectations

Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate warehouse and logistics processes regularly and recommend improvements
  • Implement best practices to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and lower operating costs
  • Review carrier performance to ensure optimal service and pricing

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate and guide staff
  • Deep understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and shipping logistics
  • Forklift and Reach Truck Certified
  • Proficient in WMS systems (Extensiv preferred), Microsoft Office, and logistics platforms such as Bill.com
  • Experience managing freight costs, carrier selection, and invoice auditing
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Minimum Required Education and Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience, plus performance based bonus.
  • Health and wellness benefits
  • Paid Time Off
  • A professional, team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunities to contribute to operational improvements and business success
